About Interreg Österreich-Tschechische Republik

Interreg V-A Austria-Czech Republik is a crossborder cooperation program funded by the EU. Currently we are funding 60 projects with 324 participating project partners - from universities and museums to municipalities and associations - in the project regions of Lower Austria (Mostviertel-Eisenwurzen, St. Pölten, Waldviertel, Weinviertel, Wiener Umland - Nordteil, Vienna), Upper Austria (Innviertel, Linz-Wels, Mühlviertel, Steyr-Kirchdorf) and in the Czech Republic (South Bohemia, Vysocina, South Moravian region). All projects are resulting from cross-border cooperation between Austrians and Czechs and are making a positive contribution to the development of the region. We manage a part of the "European Regional Development Fund" of the European Union. The programme has a total budget of 97.800.000 € for 2014 - 2020. Funding is provided in four thematic areas: research and innovation, environment and resources, human resources and sustainable networks/institutional cooperation.
