Wellington Bus Driver

A look at buses (and bus-related stuff) in and around Wellington, New Zealand Hi, I've been driving buses around Wellington for 30 years. In that time, I have seen many changes. The genesis of this channel: part of my work is a new driver mentor (I accompany new drivers after they finish training). Occasionally, I will come across a new driver who can't read maps, so they will find it hard to navigate a new route. So, I thought I would combine my two loves and record as many of Wellington's bus routes as possible, so new drivers (and bus fans) could see the landmarks along them and hopefully not get lost when they drive them themselves. . Unfortunately, in early 2026, I was forced to retire early due to my Parkinson's disease getting to a point where I felt unsafe to drive (more details on Facebook). So here I am without funds (being too young for the pension), wondering where the channel will go next.
