About Zumsteg's Frankenstein Garage

Welcome to the channel! This is all about bringing old, forgotten vehicles back to life — rescuing rides that most folks would call junk or "too far gone." Whether it's a rat rod, hot rod, custom build, or a little backyard redneck-ification, I’m here to wrench, weld, and revive. I’m a self-taught mechanic, welder, and fabricator. I learned the ropes from a good man named Terry — nicknamed "Snake" — who was more family to me than most blood relatives ever were. I owe a lot of what I know to him. A little about me: I'm in a wheelchair now. I lost one leg two years ago and almost lost the other last year. That experience taught me a hard lesson — take care of your health, and never think “it can’t happen to me,” because it sure can. But I’m still out here doing what I love, with the help of my 14-year-old son and a few good friends. So here’s your reminder: don’t give up, no matter what life throws at you. Keep on truckin’. Let’s build something cool — together.
