In 2013, he began to upload his classes onto YouTube and after only a few years he garnered a following of over one million subscribers, and the channel now sits at well over 4 Million. In 2016, he came to national light when he publicly opposed a Canadian bill that would compel speech in a way never done before. This brought him a lot of media attention, a great deal of which was negative as this was a controversial topic. Since then Dr. Peterson has closed his practice and traded in his classroom for sold-out auditoriums where he now gives his lectures. He also has a very successful podcast where he interviews people in varying fields and posts them on YouTube. He has written three books during his career and the latter two have been international bestsellers over the last few years.
